Description
This is a farm building located immediately to the east of Pickerton Cottage in Neston, dating from the 17th century, with later alterations. The building is constructed from painted squared rubble red sandstone and has a slated roof. It is a single-storey structure with a loft, consisting of two bays and featuring a gable end facing the street. The left side has altered doors and a window. At the loft level, there are two large circular pitching eyes made from four pieces of stone. The gable copings have kneelers, and the overhang is consistent along the length of the building, creating a splayed eaves soffit cut from stone. The interior has not been inspected. This building is part of a significant group in the village street and is included for its group value.
