Description
The building is a farm structure located to the west of Wincle Grange, likely dating from the late 18th century, with alterations and repairs made in the mid-19th century. It is constructed from reddish-buff sandstone and features a roof made of Kerridge stone-slate. The building has two storeys and includes three boarded doors, two of which are divided, along with a small window on the lower storey. A datestone marked WN 1670 and PLB 1863 is set into the lintel, which was probably added by Sir Philip Brocklehurst of Swythamley. The loft has small ventilators with two superimposed landing-stones, likely intended for pigeons, and there are small rectangular pitch-holes at the rear of the loft. The building is currently used for various farm purposes.
