Description
Little Chapter is a house from the late 17th century that has been altered. It features coursed rubble painted white and a Kerridge stone-slate roof with gable and ridge chimneys made of stone. The house is two storeys high and has three windows. On the right side of the central gable, the mullioned windows on each storey are chamfered and have diamond leaded glazing, all of which has been restored. The central gable has a mid to late 20th-century glazed door and a small-pane upper window, both set in an old chamfered stone case with a moulded label. There is a boarded door on the far right with a 20th-century wooden label. Inside, the right wing has a lobby entrance and an inglenook with some altered timbers, which contains a massive plain stone fireplace against the right gable. The lower rooms have chamfered oak beams, and the bedrooms feature oak purlins. The rooms behind the central gable have been altered.
