Description
This is a milepost located approximately 175 meters south of Mickley Bridge on the Shropshire Union Canal, dating from the early 19th century. It is made of cast iron and features a circular post with a domed top. The cambered plate is divided into three panels, which are inscribed with the following information: "NANTWICH AUTHERLEY 4 JUNCTION MILES 35 MILES NORBURY JUNCTION 19 1/2 MILES."
