Description
Burrows Bridge Number 85 is a public road bridge that spans the main line of the Shropshire Union Canal, built around 1826, with consulting by T. Telford. The bridge is constructed of blue brick in English Bond and features stonework. It has an elliptical arch and a projecting stone band at carriageway level. Below the bridge, there are cast-iron rubbing posts and red paving for the tow-path. The carriageway is humped, with curved approach walls, rounded stone coping, and four-way rounded caps on the end piers.
