Village school and schoolmaster's house, 1876 (school records) with later alterations. Red and blue bricks with blue tile roof. 3-bay single storey, 1-bay 2-storey, linked gabled schoolmaster's house. Projecting plinth with blue-brick weathered top course. School entrance has boarded door with strap hinges and shouldered lintel with small rectangular light above, under a lean-to roof. The flanking porch walls have blue brick offsets. Stepped, 3-light mullion and transome windows, with metal lights and Gothic heads in gabled half dormers with terra-cotta finials. Weathered sill band. Bell-turret, astride ridge, has base clad in small slates, a steep pyramid roof of cedar shingles and weather vane. Diagonally set square mid-slope stack over front entrance. The Headmaster's House has ovolo moulded terra-cotta mullion windows with metal casements, a blue-brick weathered first floor band and a stepped gable feature below the verge. Unperforated crested ridge tiles. Interior: The school is mainly modernised but there are arch braced roof trusses.
