Description
Hack Green Bridge Number 86 is an accommodation bridge built around 1826, attributed to the consultant Thomas Telford. The bridge features blue bricks laid in English Bond and stonework. It has an elliptical arch with a projecting stone band at track level and cast-iron rubbing posts at the corners. The tow-path is paved with blue bricks, including raised courses for hoof grip beneath the bridge. The structure has a humped profile with curved approach walls, rounded stone copings, and four-way rounded caps on the end piers.
