Description
Heatley is a farmhouse dating from around 1750, featuring some alterations. It is constructed of red brick in Flemish bond and has an old slate roof. The building is two storeys high with an attic and consists of three bays. An additional two-bay gabled return creates an "L" shaped plan. The windows are mainly three-light flush casements with glazing bars, cambered arches, and two-course terra-cotta weathered sills. There is a projecting brick porch with a fully glazed door and shaped barge boards topped with a finial. The eaves have a dentil course, and the old tile saddleback ridge adds to the roof's character. Inside, there are heavy oak beams that are slightly chamfered in two rooms, along with some old wide-boarded doors.
