Description
The Coronerage is an early 19th-century farmhouse located on Heatley Lane in Broomhall. The building features roughcast on brickwork and a tiled roof, standing two storeys high with an attic and comprising three bays. At the rear, there is a late 19th-century two-storey wing constructed in English Garden Wall Bond. The facade has a projecting rendered plinth and is flanked by a pair of canted bay windows with glazing bars. These bay windows are positioned beside a projecting gabled porch that includes French windows and sidelights, topped with a shaped barge board and finial. The first floor and attic windows are slightly recessed flush casements with stone sills and cambered arches, while the facade and both gables are roughcast. The building has gable-end stacks. The rear wing features an eaves dentil course and a slate roof. Inside, there are panelled linings in the bay windows, a staircase with a cut and bracketed string, a hardwood turned newel, square balusters, and panelling. The interior also includes 19th-century four-panel doors, although the rear wing has been altered.
