Description

West End Farmhouse is a 17th-century farmhouse with a rendered timber frame and a plain tile roof, which was originally thatched. It has two storeys and features a baffle-entry plan. The front of the building has a gabled wing on the far right that slightly projects, containing a 3-light 19th-century casement window on both the ground and first floors. Above this is a jettied gable supported by brackets, all covered in pebble-dash render, which is consistent across the facade. To the left of the gabled wing, there are two bays with a half-glazed door positioned to the right of centre, topped by a gabled porch. To the left of the door, there are two additional 3-light casement windows. The first floor includes two raking dormer windows, also from the 19th century, and there is a ridge chimney stack located to the left of centre.

At the rear, there is a projecting gabled wing on the left with corner posts and a jettied first floor, featuring a 2-light casement window on the right. Adjacent to this is a recessed wing, mostly obscured by a 19th-century lean-to with a corrugated roof on the left and another at the far right. There is a doorway to the right of centre and a window to the right of this. Inside, the farmhouse has ovolo-moulded ceiling beams in two of the ground floor rooms, along with an ingle nook fireplace in the parlour.
