Description

The railings, gates, and gatepiers to the churchyard of St Margaret date from the early 19th century and are made of cast iron. The central drive features gates flanked by single wicket gates on either side, with railings extending alongside. The palings are topped with stylized arrowhead finials and have cusped openings in the center. There are four gatepiers, each with moulded bases and cyma moulded caps that rise to pinecone finials. The sides of the gatepiers have panels of diamond lattice with cusping that forms quatrefoils. This structure is noted for its group value.
