Description
Bremilows Bridge Number 100 is a public road bridge that spans the Chester Line of the Shropshire Union Canal, built around 1779, possibly designed by the engineer Thomas Telford. The bridge is constructed from engineering bricks laid in English Bond and features a segmental arch with splayed-out abutments and a projecting brick carriageway band. There is stone edging along the canal towpath and the approaches to the arch. The carriageway is humped, and the approach parapets are splayed out with square-edged sandstone copings.
