Description
This is a milepost located approximately 160 meters south of Bridge Number 61 on the Shropshire Union Canal, dating from the early 19th century. It is made of cast iron and features a circular post with a domed top. The cambered plate is divided into three panels, which are inscribed with the following distances: "AUTHERLEY NANTWICH JUNCTION 13 26 MILES" and "NORBURY JUNCTION 10 ½ MILES."
