Description
This is a milepost located on the Shropshire Union Canal, dating from the early 19th century. It is made of cast iron and features a circular post with a domed top. The cambered plate is divided into three panels, which are inscribed with the following information: "NANTWICH 32 MILES", "AUTHERLEY 7 MILES", and "NORBURY JUNCTION 8 1/2 MILES".
