Description
Lapley House is a house built in the late 18th century and early 19th century. It features red brick with painted stone dressings and a red tiled roof that has a verge parapet and a painted stone moulded eaves cornice. The front is two storeys high, set on a brick plinth, and has a layout of one window, a central entrance, and three windows. To the left of the ground floor, there is a large semi-circular bay with glazing bar sashes. The other windows are tripartite, arch-headed, and have labelled windows with slim cast iron glazing pillars and transoms between the arches. The entrance consists of a five-panelled door with an overlight and a pilastered surround that has moulded brackets supporting a flat, widely projecting hood. The two windows with three arched lights are similar to those found in Brewood, which is about eight miles southeast.
