Description
This is a milepost located on the Shropshire Union Canal in Brewood, dating from the early 19th century. It is made of cast iron and features a circular post with a domed top. The cambered plate is divided into three panels, which are inscribed with the following information: "NANTWICH 33 MILES," "AUTHERLEY 6 MILES," and "NORBURY JUNCTION 9½ MILES."
