Description
This is a cattle pound located at a road junction, dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of hammer-dressed red sandstone blocks and stands 1 metre high with a square shape measuring 3 metres on each side, built with an average of 4 courses of coursed rubble walling. The top course features a chamfered edge, and there are vertical stone jambs at the entrance. These jambs include hooks for hanging and securing a gate, although the gate itself is currently missing.
