Description

The Pound is a cattle pound dating from the mid-18th century. It is constructed of rubblestone with brick casing and coping, featuring brick end piers. The walls are approximately 4 feet high and enclose a rectangular space measuring about 25 feet by 9 feet. A wooden fence with a central gate runs across the front. This structure was used as a village pound for stray animals.
