Description

Greenacre is a farmhouse that has been converted into a house. It dates from the mid to late 17th century and features 19th and 20th-century additions and alterations. The building is timber-framed with brick infill and has a slate roof.

On the entrance front, there is a deep brick plinth supporting twelve by two cells of small framing, which originally consisted of twelve by three cells, although the lower range has been destroyed. There is a 20th-century wing on the extreme left and a projecting pantry to the left of the center. The ground floor has two-light windows. The roof height of the left-hand portion was raised in the late 19th or early 20th century.

The garden front features two 20th-century ground floor bowed windows to the left of center, with a door to the right of these and two additional two-light windows further to the right. There are three 19th-century gabled three-light dormer windows in the attic. All external walling and infill are whitewashed.

Inside, the ground floor rooms have moulded and chamfered beams.
