Description

The churchyard cross located in the churchyard of St James and St Paul dates from the 14th or 15th century and has been restored. It features an octagonally shafted cross that stands on a stepped square plinth. The base is made of ashlar and consists of a square stepped base with a square stepped plinth above, which diminishes through chamfered offsets. The shaft is square in plan and tapers to an octagonal shape through broach offsets. The shaft and cross above were replaced in the 20th century with new ashlar stone.
