Description
Bache House Bridge Number 2 is an accommodation bridge built around 1805 by engineer J. Fetcher, with consultation from T. Telford. The bridge was repaired and strengthened in 1971, as noted on a plate affixed to it. It is constructed from engineering bricks laid in English Bond and features a semi-circular arch with splayed abutments. The bridge has a projecting brick carriageway band, a humped carriageway, and splayed approach walls. The parapet copings are rounded stone, and there are four-way rounded pier caps.
