Description

HURLESTON C.P. LLANGOLLEN BRANCH OF THE SJ 65 SW SHROPSHIRE UNION CANAL 4/78 Bache House Bridge No.2 - GV II

Accommodation bridge, circa 1805 by J.Fetcher, Engineer (consultant T.Telford). Repaired and strengthened 1971 (plate on bridge). Engineering bricks in English Bond. Semi-circular arch with splayed abutments. Projecting brick carriageway band. Humped carriageway and splayed out approach walls. Rounded stone parapet copings and 4-way rounded pier caps.
