Description

The building east of Hollybank Cottage is a former shippon that has been converted into a garage and store. It dates from the mid-17th century and features a brick nogged timber frame along with brick construction, topped by a roof made of large modern tiles. The structure is single storey and consists of three truss bays. The timber framing is arranged in a small pattern with passing braces, and the gable is six panels wide. It has flush casements and old wide boarded and half-heck doors. Inside, there are strutted trusses, original purlins, and a ridge tree with wind braces.
