Description
Crabmill Farmhouse is a farmhouse from the early 19th century that has undergone some later alterations. It is constructed of red brick in Flemish bond and features a tiled roof. The building has two storeys and an attic, arranged in three bays. A rear wing completes a "T" shaped plan. The farmhouse has a high blue brick plinth with a weathered top course and is accented by angle and intermediate half-brick projecting pilasters that separate the bays.
At the front, there is a projecting openwork timber porch that rests on a half-height blue brick wall. This porch has a pitched roof with barge boards and a finial, and it features a fully glazed door with a rectangular overlight that includes glazing bars. The windows are recessed sashes with glazing bars, stone sills, and wedge lintels. Symmetrically placed chimney stacks with divided flues and blue brick caps are aligned with the central facade pilasters. The west gable has a blocked window, while the north wing, built in English Garden Wall bond, has cross windows with casements and glazing bars. The roof features a blue tile ridge with roll-top detailing.
