House. C17 with C19 and C20 additions. Sandstone and whitewashed brick with slate roof. 3 cell 2-storey plan with through hall. Entrance front: Stone ground floor with 3 brick gables to first floor, string course and stone corbels. Front door to left of centre with massive splayed lintel. 3 3-light mullioned casement windows to ground floor, 2 at right having C20 stone surrounds. 3 3-light mullioned casement windows to first floor with splayed heads. Ridge beam and purlin ends exposed at gables. Chimney stack at extreme right hand side. Rear elevation: Doorway to right of centre on line with front door and having similar massive splayed lintel. Chimney stack to left with off-sets to sides. 1 C20 new brick flue at top but originally having 2. C19 and C20 extensions to left and right. Interior: Chamfered beams to ground floor ceilings. Large lintel to fireplace in parlour. Stone walls showing on interior ground floor with small framing for dividing walls. Roof truss of tie beam, king post and arch braces with windbracing.
