Formerly farm cottage, later estate office, now a house: late C18 extended and altered 1888 for Henry Boddington, some C20 alterations. Roughcast brick on stone plinth. Kerridge stone-slate roof, stone ridge and 3 brick chimneys. 2-storey, 5-bay front. Left end bay has 3-light iron casements with small-pane leaded glazing with added label moulds. Similar moulds over windows in 2nd and 4th bays. 3rd bay has projecting 2-storey gabled porch of timber framing on stone plinth. Series of short columns with strapwork carrying sitting mythical beasts flank 3-centred headed doorcase. Spandrels record date of alterations. Tiebeam carries typical couplet loved by Henry Boddington. "When Gorse is out at blossom, kissings out of fashion". Sitting troubadour on down pipe. Range of outbuildings added to rear. Interior: Some 6-panelled doors but no other features of interest.
