Description
This building is a farm structure dating from the 17th century, located approximately 10 yards east of The Holmes farmhouse in Audlem. It features a timber frame with brick infill and a tiled roof, and is a single storey with a loft. The front facing the yard has 19th century walling and three openings: on the left, there are cambered-headed double doors, while on the right, there is a 20th century flat-linteled double door, and a pedestrian door to the left of centre with a cambered head. The two openings on the left have ashlar hinge dressings. The right gable end has brick at ground floor level and a timber framed gable above, while the left gable end features a flight of stone steps leading to the first floor loft doorway on the left. The rear of the building has five by three cells of small framing on the left, which is partially obscured by a timber lean-to, with brick walling to the right.
