Description
28 Stafford Street is a house dating from the mid to late 18th century. It is constructed of red Flemish bond brick and has a plain tile roof. The building has three storeys and features a symmetrical entrance front with three bays. There is a central 19th-century cast-iron porchway at the ground floor, leading to a half-glazed 19th-century door that is framed by a moulded surround with a rectangular overlight. On either side of the entrance, there are ground floor sash windows with three panes by four panes, which have near-flush sash boxes, store sills, and flat-arched lintels. The first floor has three similar sash windows, while the second floor features three windows with three panes by two panes. On the right side of the building, there are two canted bay windows at the ground floor, two windows with three panes by four panes at the first floor, both with stone sills and flat-arched lintels, and two windows of three panes by two panes on the second floor, following a similar design.
