Description
The Crown Hotel is a hotel dating from the late 18th century to early 19th century. It is constructed of pebble dashed brick and features a plain tile roof with a red sandstone porch. The building stands three storeys high and has an entrance front with five bays, with the left and middle bays paired. All bays have 20th-century louvred shutters. The third bay from the left includes a projecting late 19th-century porch made of red sandstone, which has double doors at the center with a 4-centred arch, pilaster buttresses at the corners, and a ramped parapet above adorned with ball finials. To the right side of the porch are two double sash windows, each with three rows of four panes, while the left side has two single sash windows, also with three rows of four panes, each featuring a projecting keystone. On the first floor, there are five windows with three rows of four panes, and the second floor has five similar windows that are slightly shorter. The building is topped with a moulded bracketed cornice at the eaves and has gable chimney stacks.
