Description

This is an early 19th-century cast iron milepost located on the Shropshire Union Canal in Audlem. It features a circular post with a domed top and a cambered plate. The plate is inscribed with the following information: "NANTWICH AUTHERLEY 6 MILES JUNCTION 33 MILES NORBURY JUNCTION 17½ MILES."
