Description
This outbuilding, located approximately 100 metres east of Ryecroft Farmhouse, dates from the 16th to 17th century. It features a timber frame with brick infill and a slate roof. The structure is single-storey and consists of one cell. The south front has five small frames and three larger frames on the left, which are a result of later restoration. Inside, there are three trusses with posts that support cambered ties, arch braces, and queen struts connecting the ties to the principal rafters. The roof includes two sets of clasped purlins and a ridge beam, along with a later collar beam added to the central truss.
