Description
This is a milepost located approximately 230 meters north of Bennett's Bridge (No. 80) on the Newhall Shropshire Union Canal, dating from the early 19th century. It is made of cast iron and features a circular post with a domed top. The cambered plate is divided into three panels, which are inscribed with the following distances: Nantwich 5 miles, Authersley 34 miles, and Norbury Junction 18½ miles.
