Description
Nuthurst School is a building located at the rear of No 144 on Hospital Street, dating from around 1820. It is constructed of red brick and stands two storeys high. The façade features three sash windows that are topped with flat brick arches, along with a sill band. At the top, there is a stone parapet with a raised central panel that is inscribed with the words "Nuthurst School." The entrance is marked by a plain stone doorcase that includes a pediment. Nuthurst School is part of a group that includes Nos 122 to 126 (even), Nos 130 to 144 (even), Nos 146 and 148, and Churche's Mansion.
