Description
No. 144 on Hospital Street is an early 19th-century building constructed of red brick. It stands two storeys high and features one window, which is partly fitted with modern glazing. The entrance has a simple wooden pilaster doorcase topped with a small cornice hood, leading to a four-panelled door. The building has plain eaves and a tiled roof. It is included in the listing for its group value, as it is part of a collection of buildings that includes Nos. 122 to 126 (even), Nos. 130 to 144 (even), Nuthurst School, Nos. 146 and 148, and Churche's Mansion.
