Description

No. 146 on Hospital Street is a late 18th-century building constructed of red brick. It stands two storeys high and features three sash windows with keyblocks and grooved lintels; the ground floor windows do not have glazing bars. The building has a slight recess at the centre, which is accentuated by a moulded wooden doorcase that includes reeded pilasters, a pediment, and a six-panelled door. The roof is finished with a stone-coped parapet and slates. This property is part of a group that includes Nos. 122 to 126 (even), Nos. 130 to 144 (even), Nuthurst School, Nos. 146 and 148, and Churche's Mansion.
