MIDDLEWICH C.P. CLEDFORD LANE SJ 76 NW East Side 2/28 Briar Pool Farmhouse - - II

Farmhouse late C17 with front part recased in brick early C19 and altered late C20. Brown brick; rear part irregular bond, front part Flemish bond. 2 storeys; 2 windows to front. Replaced door in added porch; replaced windows in unaltered openings with wedge lintels and projecting stone cills. Rear wing has band at attic floor. Interior: The rear wing has chamfered oak beams, oak joists and altered inglenook fireplace; some broad-board doors on HL hinges; chamfered oak beams in front wing. Probably a small C17 farmhouse with gable to road with front wing added C18 and recased early C19. The features of interest are primarily internal.
