Description

The Trent and Mersey Canal Bridge Number 614 is an accommodation bridge, likely built in 1777, designed by the engineer James Brindley. It is constructed from painted brick and features flush brick voussoirs and keystones. On the east side, there is a curved brick-walled ramp leading to Booth Lane. The west side has square end-piers supporting the parapet at the junction with an earth ramp, which is topped with projecting stone copings.
