Description

Lock number 67 on the Trent and Mersey Canal was built in 1777, designed by engineer James Brindley. The lock features walls made of stone and brick. It has a single upper gate and double lower gates made of timber. On the opposite side from the towpath, there is a curved flight of stone steps leading down to the lower level of the canal, along with a replaced footbridge.
