Description

Moston Manor Farmhouse is a farmhouse, likely built in the 1830s, though it may contain some earlier features. The building is constructed of brown brick laid in Flemish bond on the front, and the roof has been replaced with cement tiles. It stands three storeys high and has three windows arranged symmetrically. The original door has been replaced and is set within an open flat-roofed wooden porch that has a simplified classical design. The lower two storeys feature recessed 16-pane sash windows, while the upper storey has 8-pane recessed sashes. The end gables and rear wing include 16-pane and 8-pane flush sash windows, all set under slightly cambered gauged brick arches. The farmhouse has bargeboards and flush gable chimneys. Inside, there are some six-fielded-panel doors and broad-board doors, the latter mounted on HL hinges. The second floor is finished with broad oak boards.
