Description

Bridge Number 162 on the Trent and Mersey Canal is a canal road bridge built in 1777, designed by engineer James Brindley. It is constructed of painted brown brick and features a deep segmental arch. The abutments have a concave batter and are curved in plan, with square end-piers and flush stone copings.
