Description
Canal Bridge Number 28, located by Beehive Cottage, was built around 1830 by William Crosley for the Macclesfield Canal Company. The bridge is constructed of coursed squared buff sandstone rubble and features a horseshoe elliptical arch with chamfered coping at road level. It has a plain parapet with rounded coping and ends in square pilasters. Additionally, there is a flight of stone steps leading from the towpath at the north-west corner.
