Description

No. 58 is a 17th-century farmhouse, later altered and extended to the rear. It is constructed of white-washed, coursed squared sandstone rubble with a Kerridge stone-slate roof, a stone ridge, and a stone chimney. The building originally had a two-room plan. The two-bay front, which is two stories high, features a mix of wooden casement windows with 2 and 3 lights, rock-faced lintels, and sills. A blocked fire window is located at the left end of the front. The left gable end has an entrance under a plain lintel, and an enlarged fire window. The right gable end has a 2-light chamfered rubble mullion window. Inside, visible ceiling beams, including one over the fireplace, remain.
