Description
Canal bridge number 27 was built around 1830 by William Crosley for the Macclesfield Canal Company. It is constructed from hammer-dressed buff sandstone and features a truncated full elliptical arch with a prominent keystone. The bridge has a chamfered coping that follows the angled road level. It also includes a plain parapet with rounded coping, which ends in square pilasters topped with capstones.
