Description

36 and 38 Oak Lane are two houses, dating from the later 18th century. They are constructed from coursed squared buff sandstone rubble with sandstone dressings, and have a Kerridge stone-slate roof, stone ridge, and two gable brick chimneys. The front of the building is two storeys and five bays wide. The end bays feature 3-light mullioned windows with square-sectioned stone mullions on both floors. The second and fourth bays contain half-glazed doors set within simple, moulded architraves. The remaining windows are 2-light, square-sectioned stone mullioned. A 20th-century dormer has been added.
