Description

The estate boundary stone, dated 1830, is made of ashlar sandstone and is set into the base of a dry stone wall. The west face of the stone features the inscription "G/T 1830" in deeply cut seriffed letters, with the "G" representing the Gatley or Green family. The east face displays a cruder carving of "T/G". This stone marks the division between two quarries on Kerridge Hill.
