Description
This boundary stone, located on the Ivegill Road southeast of Stockdalewath, is likely from the early 19th century. It is made of red sandstone and features a squared design with a pyramidal top. The front of the stone has the inscription "RAUGHTON & GATESGILL TOWNSHIP," while the side displays "IVEGILL TOWNSHIP," although this inscription is partly cut away. In 1975, the County Council moved the stone from its original position in the adjacent field to the roadside to ensure its preservation.
