Description

This is a large boundary stone dated 1835, located at the corner of the boundary with Westerdale County Parish. It is made of hard sandstone and measures approximately 50 cm square and 1.4 meters high. The east face of the stone is inscribed with "GALLOW HOW D" (for Danby) and "W" (for Westerdale) along with the year 1835. This stone marks the point where the parish boundary turns westward.
