Description
This early 18th-century building in Castleton, Danby, now serves as two separate dwellings. It is constructed of coursed squared stone and has a pantiled roof with stone coping and kneeler detailing. The building is two storeys high and originally comprised two bays. An off-centre boarded door provides access. Number 11 has an entrance within a small, pent-roofed porch situated in front of number 9. The windows are modern pivoted styles but are set within the original window openings. A chamfered fire window is visible at ground floor level on the left-hand side. The steeply pitched, swept roof is finished with corniced end stacks, coping, and a square kneeler on the right.
