Description
This entry describes eight boundary stones located on the border with Westerdale County Parish, dating from around 1835. The stones are made of hard sandstone and are arranged in an angled row. Each stone is approximately 1 meter high with roughly-rounded tops. The north face of each stone is inscribed with a "D" for Danby, while the south face features a "W" for Westerdale. The tops of the stones have been whitewashed. These boundary stones mark the line where the boundary runs west from Gallow How to join the Esk River at its confluence with Hob Hole Beck.
