CONGLETON MACCLESFIELD CANAL Bridge No 67 at SJ 8763 6413

GV II Accommodation bridge. c1827. William Crosley engineer. Coursed sandstone blocks with ashlar dressings. Horseshoe arch/eliptical head with ashlar voussoirs and a projecting keystone that rises to a chamfered band at deck level. Battered walls terminate in squared piers: there is chamfered coping to parapet.

NB One in a series of fine bridges (and milestones) that survive on the Macclesfield Canal.
