Description

This barn, located approximately 30 meters southwest of Chapels Farmhouse, is likely from the early 18th century. It is constructed of random rubble with quoins and features a stone slate roof. The barn has a four-bay L-shaped plan, with the third and fourth bays projecting. The roof extends over these bays, providing cover for a wagon entrance in the third bay, which has an opposed segmental-headed wagon doorway in the plain rear wall. There is a later lean-to addition at the front of the first and second bays, although it is in a ruinous state. The right return wall includes an owl hole with a perching stone at the apex of the gable.
